Principal's Message

Welcome to John E. Steinbeck Elementary!

I am honored to continue serving this amazing community as your principal. This will be my fourth year as an administrator with Alisal Union School District (AUSD), and I am proud to call AUSD both my professional starting point and my home.

With over 15 years in education, I bring experience as a Dual Immersion classroom teacher for nine years, followed by three years as an academic coach before stepping into school leadership. I began my teaching career right here in AUSD and have remained committed to supporting our students and families ever since.

I am a proud graduate of UC Davis and earned both my teaching and administrative credentials from CSU Monterey Bay. Outside of school, I am a proud fire wife and mother to a very bright young daughter who will be starting TK this school year.

I believe that all students can learn and thrive when given the right support, and I truly believe that parent involvement plays a vital role in the success of every child. I look forward to a school year filled with collaboration, growth, and continued success for all of our Steinbeck students.

¡Bienvenidos a la Escuela Primaria John E. Steinbeck!

Es un honor para mí seguir sirviendo a esta increíble comunidad como su directora. Este será mi cuarto año como administradora en el Distrito Escolar de Alisal (AUSD) y me enorgullece considerar al AUSD mi punto de partida profesional y mi hogar.

Con más de 15 años de experiencia en educación, cuento con nueve años de experiencia como maestra de doble inmersión, seguidos de tres años como asesor académico antes de incorporarme al equipo de liderazgo escolar. Comencé mi carrera como maestra aquí mismo en AUSD y desde entonces he mantenido mi compromiso de apoyar a nuestros estudiantes y familias.

Me enorgullezco de graduarme de UC Davis y obtuve mis credenciales de maestra y administrativas de CSU Monterey Bay. Fuera de la escuela, soy la orgullosa esposa de un Ingeniero de Bomberos y madre de una hija muy brillante que comenzará el kínder transitional este año escolar.

Creo que todos los estudiantes pueden aprender y prosperar con el apoyo adecuado, y creo firmemente que la participación de los padres es fundamental para el éxito de cada niño. Espero con ilusión un año escolar lleno de colaboración, crecimiento y éxito continuo para todos nuestros estudiantes de Steinbeck.
